1. The slewing bearing of model 024.40.1800.03 is mainly used in specific transmission parts of some offshore drilling platforms of Tianjin Bohai Petroleum, undertaking the functions of transmitting torque and supporting loads; 

2.  The bearing of model 023.50.2000.03 is adapted to the key rotating structures of some marine mobile lifting equipment, ensuring stable operation during the lifting process; 

3.  The bearing of model 133.45.2000.03 is mostly used in the turntable systems of large offshore drilling platforms, playing an important role in bearing and rotating under high-intensity operating environments;

Tianjin Bohai Petroleum put forward a demand, hoping that our company would develop a slewing bearing that can replace the imported SIFCO (USA) slewing bearing for its offshore drilling platforms. At that time, this imported bearing was used in the core parts of offshore drilling platforms, and its performance directly affected the normal operation of the platforms.

Material

In terms of material selection, the imported bearings have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance in the marine environment with high salt and high humidity, while the existing domestic materials are difficult to meet the same standards, so it is necessary to test and improve various alloy materials. 

Structure

In terms of structural design, due to the lack of accurate technical data, it is necessary to restore the internal structure and dimensional parameters of the bearing through repeated mapping and calculation to ensure that it can accurately match with other components of the platform. In addition, the processing technology of the bearing is also a major problem. The imported bearings have extremely high requirements for precision machining accuracy, so domestic processing equipment and technical level need to be improved and adjusted in a targeted manner.

Achievement

After nearly half a year of efforts, the team successfully developed the slewing bearing that meets the requirements and passed the strict inspection of Tianjin Bohai Petroleum. Finally, the bearing was successfully delivered to the customer. After being installed on the offshore drilling platform and undergoing a period of trial operation, all performance indicators have reached the level of the imported bearings, meeting the normal operation needs of the platform.
